Cosmetic Surgery Fueling Growth in British Medical Tourism
It would appear that the growth in British “Medical Tourism” is being fueled by cosmetic surgery rather than surgery for more life threatening ailments.   It is estimated that British overseas trips for cosmetic surgery , operations and post op relaxation are estimated at aroudn 60 million British pounds yearly  ( 120 million $ USD).
Lower prices for cosmetic surgery seems to be the determining factor rather than quality of care , convenience or the physical envoirnment   of a subsidized vacation of sorts.
All in a all  25 % of Britons now consider a standard option recuperating overseas after an operation and 14 % say that they would consider having surgery abroad .  The key factor again seems to be lower costs.
